Trois jours de projections et d’\u00e9changes sur l’art f\u00e9ministe et l’artivisme en Am\u00e9rique latine, en pr\u00e9sence de la commissaire. Ce projet b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie du programme Accueil d\u2019\u0153uvres et d\u2019artistes provenant de l’\u00e9tranger<\/em> du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n

Julia Antivilo<\/strong> est historienne et artiste de performance f\u00e9ministe.<\/a> Ses \u00e9crits portent sur le r\u00f4le social et culturel des femmes en Am\u00e9rique latine et la relation entre l’art, le genre et le f\u00e9minisme. Elle a obtenu une ma\u00eetrise et un doctorat en \u00c9tudes latino-am\u00e9ricaines de l’Universidad de Chile (Chili) et entreprend un post doctorat sur l’artivisme contre l’h\u00e9t\u00e9ronormativit\u00e9 en Am\u00e9rique latine \u00e0 l’Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana (Mexique). Elle est membre du collectif Malignas Influencias<\/em> (Chili\/Mexique). Ses \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es au Chili, en Argentine, en Bolivie, en Colombie, aux \u00c9tats-Unis, au Costa Rica et au Mexique.\u00a0Elle vit actuellement au Mexique o\u00f9 elle collabore avec les groupes artistiques La Pocha Nostra<\/em>, Pinto mi Raya<\/em> et Producciones y Milagros Agrupaci\u00f3n Feminista A.C.<\/em><\/p>\n

Three days of screenings and exchanges on feminist and activist art in Latin America with the curator. Completed by the setting up of an Online Archive of Feminist Latin American Art\u00a0<\/em><\/strong> on GIV’s Web site. This project has been made possible through the Accueil d\u2019\u0153uvres et d\u2019artistes provenant de l’\u00e9tranger<\/em> program of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n

Julia Antivilo <\/strong> is a historian and feminist performance artist.<\/a> Her writings examine the cultural and social role of women in Latin America and the relation between art, gender, and feminism. She holds a Masters degree and a Doctorate in Latin American Studies from the University of Chile (Chile), and is working on a Post-Doctorate degree on artivism against heteronormativity in Latin America at the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana in Mexico. She is currently living in Mexico where she collaborates with La Pocha Nostra<\/em>, Pinto mi Raya<\/em> and Producciones y Milagros Agrupaci\u00f3n Feminista A.C artistic groups.<\/em><\/p>\n
